LIBERHAN : THE THIRD UMPIRE

I was just 6 years old when the hardcore hindutva preachers vandalised the Babri Masjid mosque.17 years hence, the liberhan commission which had been appointed then, to enqire into the outrageous act of vandalism is all set to table its findings and decisions.India might be the only country in the world that has spend more money on buying ink and paper for commission reports rather than alleviating other grave matters that have been squeezing its neck, and trying to choke it.Maybe, a random census would even prove that this country has more commissions to its name than hospitals or schools.Doesn't it sound dismaying???"only God knows what is happening in this country"
The name "LIBERHAN COMMISSION" has always struck me like the title of a much touted megabudget bollywood release.and as always,it has and had its cup of controversies, contradictions, denials etc.It is beyond doubt that after this initial uproar and hullaballoo this will soon die out paving wayfor a bigger "HEADLINE GRABBER". In this country, appointment of commissions and committees has become an order of the day.even kindergarten schools appoint committees to look into the misconduct of their students. Is there the need for a third umpire to decide on matters when truth is obvious and glaring upon our face, when things are as transparent as SAINT-GOBAIN glasses especially when the perpetrators are still at large and entire nation knows the"you -know-who"
"Justice delayed is justice denied".I Guess 17years is not that long a period for justice to be considered denied. After all ,we still belive in the concept of "heaven and hell".lets hope with all out hearts and best of our hopes that the culprits would be punished in hell
